Pupil Responsibilities

Across school pupils are given opportunities to take responsibility in areas that we think are really important. Pupils are democratically elected to these responsibilities. They take their roles very seriously and strive to make a difference in our school.

As well as the children below, each child plays an important role of being a monitor in their class - from being in charge of watering classroom plants to sharpening pencils!

Childhood Pledge Ambassadors

We are the Childhood Pledge Ambassadors and we make sure that every child has their Childhood Pledge Passport stamped. We promote the childhood pledges to visitors and new children in our school.

School Council

We are the School Council and we help make this school a better place to be. We will ask you what makes you happy in school and take your response to the Head Teacher.

Action Groups

Each year, children from year 1 to Year 6 meet every half term to work on a project which improves:

  • The school
  • The community
  • The world

Children meet in mixed aged groups, decide on a project and work together to  make a positive change. Children also work towards the Superkind Award and gain badges for the tasks they do towards the award.

Dog Carers

We have a school dog called Sammy. He comes to school once a week to spend time with the children. Caring for a pet is a big responsibility and children in KS2 can sign up to be a dog walker for the day, ensuring Sammy gets his daily exercise.
